Dottie Shirley had the privilege of being a homemaker and mom for most of her adult life. Her college training had been in music performance and elementary education. Through those years she and her Minister of Music husband served in churches in Oklahoma and Texas. It was while they were in Plano, Texas that Dottie decided to go into Real Estate so she could help with her children's college education. That was 25 years ago and she is still in Real Estate.
She looks at Real Estate as a ministry. Helping people find their dream home, helping them sell their homes, educating them in the process and hopefully fulfilling their dreams. Her love of baking and serving come in handy as she works through her transactions. Her biggest joy and satisfaction through the years is the people she has worked with because many have become wonderful personal friends.
Currently she is very active in her local church where she teaches 4-year-old's in Sunday School, sings in her church choir and the Salado Community chorus and directs the ladies in the chorus, teaches a few piano lessons, serves on the board of the Salado Ladies Auxiliary as hospitality chairman. She has served on several committees with the Temple Belton Board of Realtors.
