This time of year there is a lot of pressure to make resolutions: eat healthy, go to the gym, try something new. Although this can be fun for some people, it tends to lead to lots of stress, wasted time, and ultimately disappointment.
Here at First Texas Brokerage, we're wanting to help make a new resolution...one that you will want to keep...one with your home!
So many people have numerous items around the house they always want to do, plan to do, and just fail to get it done. We're proposing that we make this January the time to do that. It's the perfect time to be productive around the house, get the "honey do" list done, and get ready for gorgeous Spring weather!
Here's what's at the top of our list:
1. Organization! After the hectic holidays, it seems that there is stuff everywhere. Once the decorations are stored away, utilize this time to get a head start on Spring cleaning. From old toys, furniture and even clothes, de-clutter your home and get prepared for the new year.
2. Tiny Touch Ups! It seems after having house guests, hanging decorations and everyday living there re always things that need to be touched up. Drawer pulls, leaking faucets, replacing light bulbs always get on the back burner. Utilize this final holiday time to get everything backup and running in proper order.
3. Get your yard for summer fun! Apply a pre-emergent weed control to your yard to help prevent sting and summer turf weeds. Cut back any perennials and thin unruly rose bushes. Once everything is cutback, this is a great time to apply mulch and be ready for the spring pant flush out, while also helping prevent bed weeds.
We hope these ideas help you get a jump start to making this year the best year yet, while enjoying your home to the fullest!
